'Hope for a tree'

31 October, 2015 - Advent Centre

"Hope for a Tree" is a concert of original songs composed by Belinda E. S. that talk about moments in life. The evening is an exploration of hope through ethnic-flavoured Christian music with a world sound. A journey that may be 'foreign' in sound, but familiar in its human experience of hope.

'Dancing Winged Words'

Staged reading of parts of Homer's 'Iliad', UCL, 2014

Dancing Winged Words
I was though especially amazed watching the ‘Dancing Winged Words’ event. I mean what a performance! It was skilfully carried out by each and every one of you. All senses were in motion; you dressed it acoustically reading it in a theatrical manner; Belinda frosted it with an evocative music; Deb’s performance was breathtaking. You all made it such a natural spectacle to receive. I actually felt I was in a 3D silent movie with words for music! I still have goosebumps! I think it’s innovative and now I have tasted this experience it couldn’t have been done differently and more perfectly! Thank you, thank you, thank you three times!!!

'Landscapes Within'

World premiere orchestral performance, UCL 2014

Belinda’s concert in the UCL festival of Arts was a revelation to me. When I first heard about ‘Landscapes Within’ I thought that this was an interesting experiment which I would love to explore. Instead I found myself in a wonderful internal journey of life, from melancholic separation to the conquest of happiness and from the uncertain horizons of something new to the abyss of a possible failure. Belinda’s music is a palette of emotions that exist within each one of us waiting to be remembered. From the purity of the blue sea to the innocence of transparent marbles, this was an exploration of oneself with dark moments of solitude and bright touches of immortality. In between Belinda has composed the circle of life decorated with flowers, flying butterflies and a rainbow of magic.
